Terms of Service Sterling Scoops Effective Date: April 4, 2026
By scheduling or using any services from Sterling Scoops (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Client” or “you”) agree to the following terms.
1. Services Sterling Scoops provides residential pet waste removal (pooper scooper service) in McLeod and Carver counties, and surrounding communities. Services may include standard yard cleanups, one-time cleanups, recurring weekly/bi-weekly/monthly service, and optional add-ons such as yard deodorizing.
2. No Long-Term Contracts There are no contracts or cancellation fees. You may pause, cancel, or change your service frequency at any time.
3. Client Responsibilities You agree to:
- Provide clear and safe access to your yard (unlocked gate, no obstructions).
- Secure or confine any dogs (especially aggressive ones) on service days.
- Keep your yard reasonably clear of excessive tall grass, leaves, snow, toys, or debris so we can properly perform the service.
- Notify us in advance of any changes in the number of dogs using the yard.
If we cannot safely access or service your yard due to locked gates, unsecured/aggressive dogs, or poor yard conditions, you will still be charged for the visit.
4. Scheduling and Service Days Service days are scheduled based on your address and our routes. We cannot guarantee exact times—service occurs between sunrise and sunset. We work rain or shine except in unsafe conditions (heavy snow, ice storms, extreme weather). In those cases we will notify you and reschedule as soon as safely possible.
5. Payments
- A valid credit card payment method must be kept on file.
- Recurring clients are billed on a rolling basis, and or on the completion of each service.
- One-time cleanups are charged on the day of service.
- Declined payments may result in a $15 fee and suspension of service until resolved.
- Late payments over 30 days will incur an $8 late fee.
6. Cancellations and Pauses
- You may cancel or pause service at any time with no penalty.
- Please give us at least 24 hours notice for any single visit you want skipped.
- For recurring clients, we appreciate 7 days notice for longer pauses or cancellations so we can adjust routes.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee If you are not satisfied with a service, contact us within 24 hours of the visit. We will either return to re-clean the yard at no extra charge or issue an account credit for that visit.
8. Limitation of Liability Sterling Scoops is not liable for:
- Any damage to your property, gates, landscaping, or personal items.
- Injury to your pets or persons caused by your pets.
- Missed waste that is hidden by tall grass, leaves, snow, or debris.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
9. SMS / Text Message Consent By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from Sterling Scoops for service reminders, day-ahead notifications, booking confirmations, and occasional promotional offers. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe. We will not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
10. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mcleod County, Minnesota.
11. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
By booking or continuing service with Sterling Scoops, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
