I’ve lived in Lester Prairie since 2016 with my husband Brandon. We’re empty nesters and spend much of our time on our small homestead, raising rabbits, keeping bees, and tending both vegetable and pollinator gardens. I’ve always loved being outdoors, working with my hands, and being around animals, especially dogs. At home, that means life with two very large personalities: Opie, our Saint Bernard, and Riddick, our Great Dane/Mastiff. Opie is the calm, stoic type; the kind of dog who looks completely unamused but will happily lean into every person he meets for attention. Riddick brings the size, the energy, and keeps things interesting. Between the two of them, I understand exactly how quickly a yard can go from manageable to overwhelming. The idea for Sterling Scoops came from my own experience. After our son moved out, we were adjusting to a new rhythm at home while managing everything that comes with a small homestead. I started looking for a reliable service to help keep up with our yard and realized there really wasn’t a professional option in the area. That’s when I decided to build one.
